Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior System Analyst to join out team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in data integration, analytics, modeling, and end-to-end project delivery within the banking domain. This role demands a hands-on leader with a robust background in data management and technical certifications.
Key Responsibilities
- System Design and Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Analyze data flows and provide recommendations for optimization and integration.
- Development and Delivery:
- Develop and implement data mapping, modeling, and marts solutions for banking use cases.
- Deliver high-quality projects adhering to SDLC/PLC standards.
- Team Leadership:
- Provide technical guidance to developers and ensure alignment with project goals.
- Manage cross-functional teams for effective delivery and operations.
- Support and Maintenance:
- Oversee L3 support for existing solutions and ensure IT service continuity.
- Optimize and troubleshoot issues with platforms and databases.
- Domain Expertise:
- Contribute to business analysis and data reconciliation across finance, credit risk, and retail banking functions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks like BCBS 239 and Basel.
Required Skills
- Technical Expertise:
- Database: Teradata DB or Hadoop Hive (certification required in one), Oracle backend knowledge.
- ETL Tools: Informatica or SAS (certification required).
- Big Data Platforms: HDFS, Hive, Scala, AI/ML platforms (certified developer preferred).
- Data Analytics Tools: PowerBI, Splunk, Qlik Sense, SAS, Python.
- CI/CD and DevOps Tools: JIRA, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Query Surge.
- Containers/Platforms: Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes (for CPM roles).
- Banking Domain Knowledge:
- Data modeling for finance, credit risk, treasury, trade finance, and retail banking.
- Product knowledge of platforms like Murex, FITAS, ARF, Silver Lake, and Cardpac.
- Certifications:
- Minimum of two certifications in Teradata, Hadoop, Informatica, SAS, PowerBI, or related tools.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication for cross-team collaboration.
- Leadership abilities for mentoring junior team members.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Agile methodologies, SDLC/PLC processes, and DevOps practices.
- Functional knowledge of financial reconciliation, regulatory reporting, credit risk analysis, and customer segmentation.
- Exposure to AI/ML development, DB2, AS400, and data lakes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 612+ years of relevant experience in data management and banking domains.
