Job Title: Team Leader Business Development

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Team Leader Business Development
Executive to lead our business development team in the Academic/Educational sector. The Team Leader will
oversee a team of Business Development Executives, guiding them to achieve sales
targets and expand our market presence in the academic industry. This role requires
strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of educational sales processes, and the ability
to inspire and mentor a team to deliver exceptional results.

Responsibilities:
1. Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Business Development Executives to achieve
individual and team sales targets.
2. Develop and implement strategic sales plans to penetrate and expand our presence in
the academic market.
3. Collaborate with senior management to define sales goals, strategies, and objectives
aligned with company targets.
4. Monitor team performance and provide regular coaching, feedback, and training to
improve sales techniques and product knowledge.
5. Conduct regular performance evaluations and set clear, measurable goals for team
members.
6. Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers in academic
institutions to facilitate sales opportunities and partnerships.
7. Assist in the negotiation of contracts and agreements with academic clients to ensure
favorable terms and maximize profitability.
8. Analyse market trends, competitive landscape, and client needs to identify
opportunities for growth and innovation.
9. Prepare and present comprehensive sales reports, forecasts, and progress updates to
senior management.
10. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards in all
sales activities.
Requirements:
1. Proven track record of success in academic or educational sales, with 5+ years of
experience in Business Development with at least 2 years of experience as a Team
leader in a sales leadership or supervisory role.
2. Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
master's degree would be an added advantage.
3. Strong understanding of the academic sector, including familiarity with curriculum
development, educational technology, and institutional purchasing processes.
4. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience in managing and developing a high
performing sales team.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to
influence and negotiate effectively at all levels.
6. Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop
actionable insights.
7. Proficiency in CRM software and other sales management tools.
8. Ability to travel as needed for client meetings, conferences, and industry events.

Working hours: Fixed Day Shift (10:00 am to 7:00pm)
Working Days: Monday to Friday (Sat & Sun Fixed Off)
