Job Summary
Embark on an exciting opportunity to drive innovation and shape the future of managing risk in Standard Chartered. We are seeking a dynamic individual to act as the key Subject Matter Expert on Credit Risk in an ongoing Risk transformation program focused on improving the management stress capabilities within the bank and especially within Risk. The role holder will work directly with the Executive Director, ERM Delivery, CCIB Credit Officers and Program resources to deliver the strategic state and transiting the program into BAU.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Lead design of analytical tools/models to allow performance of rapid stress testing analysis in the CIB/WRB book with a focus on building tools to allow for detailed financial statement stress and estimating impacts on key risk measures such as RWA and ECL
- Support engagement with Vendors for development of analytical tools
- Identify key risk areas and potential actions that can be taken through review of Management Stress Test Results generated from GCFO or Risk Stress Testing tools
Business
- Engage with business to discuss and agree actions to be taken based on insights gained through review of Management stress test runs
- Engagement with business teams to agree additional tools/models to be developed
Processes
- Gathering and documenting requirements for Management Stress Testing capabilities for CIB/WRB Credit
- Support Model Initiation/Development and Implementation for tools required for Risk Portfolio analytics
- Review and adjust results from agreed regular MSTs
- Support in program management activities as required

Risk Management
- The ability to interpret the Group or country CIB/WRB Credit Information, identify key drivers and key risk areas based on this information and put in place appropriate controls and measures including analysing and interpreting stressed financial statements, credit grades, RWAs and ECLs.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding and ability to manage data quality and other data-related risks.
Governance
- Ensure compliance with the Group's policies and procedures, and the regulatory framework.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and controls for modelling, reporting, and analytics.
