Introduction to Role:
Are you ready to pioneer new science and break boundaries in the Oncology Biometrics Programming department As a Senior Statistical Programmer, you will provide statistical programming support and lead activities related to the analysis and reporting process at project/study level. This includes developing clinical study reports, supporting regulatory submissions, aiding in commercialization, and utilizing scientific data for AstraZeneca products. Accountabilities:
You will be responsible for delivering statistical programming aspects in clinical development. This includes, but is not limited to, developing clinical study reports, supporting regulatory submissions, aiding in commercialization, and utilizing scientific data for AstraZeneca products.
Essential Skills/Experience:
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on programming experience with SAS or R
- Bachelor's or Master's (or local equivalent) degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Life or Social Sciences, or a related field
- Ability to pay attention to detail and effectively manage concurrent studies and activities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence team members.
- Extensive SAS programming expertise to an advanced level within clinical drug development (R Knowledge and working experience is a plus).
- Capability to work independently on assigned programming tasks.
- Comprehensive knowledge of technical and regulatory requirements
- Hands-on programming experience with Pooling Safety data related to IB/DSUR, PBER, PSER, ISS, etc.
Desirable Skills/Experience:

While not essential, previous experience in Oncology R&D would be advantageous.
