MS Group is a leading and expanding organization in the Hybrid Seed and Agri Business sector, working across seed production, procurement, processing, trading, and distribution. We operate multiple companies and are strengthening our Group Finance & Financial Governance to ensure strong financial discipline, high-quality reporting, cash flow stability, and sustainable business performance.
Role Overview: We are hiring a highly experienced Chartered Accountant who will act as both:
- Financial Controller (Accounting, Compliance, Audit, Taxation)
- Financial Consultant / Analyst (Planning, Costing, Profitability & Business Insights)
This role requires strong experience in overall finance management, including hands-on knowledge in Tally, Microsoft Accounting systems, government tax filings, income tax audit processes, and financial performance monitoring.
The CA will work directly with senior management to plan, improve, and maintain the financial health and growth of the group.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Manage full accounting operations across group companies
- Prepare and finalize Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow & MIS reports
- Ensure accuracy, transparency, and timely month-end and year-end financial closures
- Maintain structured documentation and reconciliation discipline
Financial Health, Cash Flow & Turnover Quality
- Strategize and monitor cash flow movement across group entities
- Forecast working capital and seasonal fund requirements
- Ensure turnovers are healthy, sustainable, and backed by controlled financial planning
- Maintain strong banking coordination, limits, and fund allocation efficiency
Taxation, Government Filings & Audit
- Handle GST, TDS, and Income Tax filings end-to-end
- Lead Income Tax Audits, statutory audits, and departmental inspections
- Ensure government compliance, legal clarity & zero penalty operations
- Maintain audit-ready records and high governance reporting standards
Cost Analysis & Business Performance
- Conduct cost analysis for products, departments & operations
- Evaluate SKU / batch / crop-level profitability and margins
- Prepare and present financial performance dashboards in Excel / Power BI
- Highlight actionable insights for cost control and profit optimization
Strategic Financial Planning & Leadership Support
- Work closely with company directors for budget planning & business scale strategies
- Support decision-making in procurement, production, pricing, inventory & marketing
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to management with data-backed recommendations
- Contribute to building structured SOPs and internal control systems across the group
What You'll Also Do
Group Cash Strategy & Inter-Company Movement:
- Design and run cash flow strategy across group entities; implement cash-pooling/fund-sweeps for optimal utilization.
- Govern inter-company transactions (IC loans/advances, cross-charges) with clear SOPs, pricing, documentation, and reconciliations.
- Maintain strong banking relations, manage LCs/BGs/OD limits, and ensure seasonal cash readiness.
- Monitor DSO/DPO/DIO, build rolling weeks cash forecasts, and ensure covenant/credit compliance.
Accounting Quality & Turnover Health
- Ensure accurate, timely books across entities (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, MIS).
- Drive month-end close discipline, consolidation, and variance analysis with insightful commentary.
- Implement revenue assurance (billing completeness, pricing adherence, discount control) to keep turnovers on target.
- Tighten controls over procurement, inventory, grower settlements, logistics, and sales deductions.
Candidate Profile
- Chartered Accountant (CA) Mandatory
- 815 years of proven experience in finance and accounting roles
- Industry experience in Hybrid Seeds / Agri Input / FMCG is highly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime & Microsoft Accounting tools
- Deep familiarity with government tax procedures, compliance, and audit handling
- Excellent command in Excel, MIS, financial statements, and cost analysis
- Ability to collaborate with leadership and drive financial improvements across entities
