We are seeking an experienced SAP CO (Controlling) and Product Costing Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SAP Controlling (CO) module, particularly in product costing, cost centers, internal orders, and profit center accounting. This role involves analyzing, designing, implementing, and supporting SAP CO functionality, particularly in the context of cost management and product costing within manufacturing and other industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Costing Implementation and Support:
- Configure and maintain SAP Product Costing module (CO-PC), including cost estimation, costing run, and cost object controls.
- Define and configure costing variants, costing keys, and valuation variants for product costing.
- Support standard cost setting, transfer prices, and variances analysis for finished goods and materials.
- Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define product costing models, and optimize costing procedures.
- Cost Center Accounting (CCA):
- Implement and maintain Cost Center Accounting (CO-CCA) configurations for tracking operational costs.
- Develop cost allocation methods, cost center structure, and cost planning processes.
- Analyze and resolve discrepancies between actual costs, planned costs, and target costs.
- Internal Orders:
- Implement and configure Internal Order functionality (CO-IO) to manage and control project or event-related costs.
- Integrate internal orders with other SAP modules such as MM (Materials Management), SD (Sales and Distribution), and FI (Financial Accounting).
- Profit Center Accounting (PCA):
- Configure and support Profit Center Accounting (CO-PCA), ensuring accurate allocation of costs and revenues to profit centers.
- Perform monthly profit center reporting and analysis to track financial performance.
- Costing-related Reporting and Analysis:
- Create and maintain reports and dashboards for management and stakeholders to monitor product costs, cost variances, and financial performance.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights into cost fluctuations and their impacts on profitability.
- Support periodic month-end and year-end closing processes for product costing and cost accounting.
- Collaboration with Finance and Production Teams:
- Work closely with the Finance team for integration of Product Costing with Financial Accounting (FI) and Management Accounting (CO).
- Partner with the Production/Manufacturing team to ensure that product cost estimations and real-time costing data are aligned with production activities.
- Testing and Documentation:
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for product costing configurations.
- Create detailed documentation for all SAP CO configurations and solutions, ensuring clear knowledge transfer and end-user training.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements in the areas of cost management, product costing, and reporting.
- Stay updated on SAP CO best practices and new features, ensuring the system evolves in line with business requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience with SAP CO (Controlling) and Product Costing modules, with hands-on configuration and implementation experience.
- Solid understanding of financial accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong knowledge of cost center accounting (CO-CCA), product costing (CO-PC), internal orders (CO-IO), and profit center accounting (CO-PCA).
- Experience in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments is a plus.
