Sales Development Representative

Bazaarvoice is seeking a motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be critical in expanding our customer base by engaging prospective customers, utilizing your expertise in the SaaS industry, and driving opportunities through the sales funnel. The ideal candidate will exhibit exceptional sales skills, a focused approach in CRM utilization, and an understanding of the North American market.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Qualification
    • Conduct outbound prospecting through cold calls, emails, and social outreach to identify potential clients.
    • Qualify leads based on engagement, company size, and strategic alignment with Bazaarvoice's offerings.
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to assist in developing lead generation campaigns.
  • Sales Strategy Support
    • Engage with prospective clients to understand their needs and present Bazaarvoice solutions that meet their requirements.
    • Schedule meetings for the sales executives and ensure proper hand-off of qualified leads.
    • Assist in the development of sales presentations and proposals.
  • CRM Management
    • Utilize CRM systems effectively to track and manage all outreach efforts and follow-ups.
    • Document interactions with clients accurately and maintain an organized pipeline.
    • Generate and analyze reports from the CRM to assess performance and improve strategies.
  • Market Analysis
    • Conduct research on target markets, competitors, and industry trends to identify new opportunities.
    • Gather insights into customer needs and behaviors to tailor outreach efforts effectively.
  • Team Collaboration
    • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align on strategies and goals.
    • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes and sales strategies.

Qualifications


  • 2+ years of experience in a sales development or similar role, preferably in the SaaS industry.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales enablement tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with prospects.
  • Knowledge of the North American market is a plus; experience in the APAC region will be considered an advantage.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities effectively.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
