Job Summary:
The Sales Counsellor is responsible for guiding prospective students and their families through the enrolment process, providing information about our music programs, and helping them make informed decisions. This role requires a professional who excels at building relationships, understanding client needs, and showcasing the value of our music education offerings. The Sales Counsellor (Admissions) plays a key role in driving enrolment growth by delivering a high-quality, personalised experience to every lead.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Engagement and Counselling:
- Respond to inquiries from prospective students and families via phone, email, and in-person visits.
- Conduct facility tours, showcasing the school's environment, amenities, and program offerings to interested students.
- Provide detailed information on courses, instructors, schedules, and program benefits to guide students toward the right enrolment choice.
- Use consultative selling techniques to address questions, alleviate concerns, and present courses that align with students goals.
Admissions Support and Conversion:
- Proactively follow up on leads and maintain ongoing communication with potential students to encourage enrolment.
- Assist with the application and registration process, ensuring a seamless experience for each student.
- Meet or exceed enrolment targets by converting leads into confirmed students.
Data and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions and updates with prospective students in the CRM system.
- Prepare reports on leads, enrolment progress, and any notable trends or insights.
- Ensure all student records are complete, accurate, and updated as necessary.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture relationships with students and families, focusing on creating a positive first impression of the school.
- Address any follow-up inquiries and provide support through the initial stages of the student's enrolment journey.
- Represent the school professionally at all times, with a focus on creating trust and confidence.
Collaboration and Continuous Improvement:
- Work closely with instructors and administrative staff to stay updated on course offerings, program details, and school events.
- Provide feedback on common questions or concerns from prospective students to help improve marketing and communication strategies.
- Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development to stay current with best practices in sales and admissions.
Requirements:
Education: Associate or bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, or a related field is a plus.
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in sales, admissions, or a related customer service role; experience in education or a music school is preferred.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
- Strong ability to actively listen, understand client needs, and offer tailored guidance.
- Professionalism and strong etiquette in verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM systems.
- Ability to multitask, manage time efficiently, and meet enrolment targets.
Preferred Qualifications:
Background or interest in music or arts education.
Experience in consultative sales or customer service in an educational setting.
Working Conditions:
This position is on-site only.
Standard office hours, with occasional extended hours during peak enrollment periods.
