Description

We are looking for an experienced Retail General Manager to oversee our retail operations in India. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our retail stores, ensuring that they operate efficiently and effectively, and that they meet or exceed sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective retail strategies and initiatives to drive sales growth and profitability.
  • Ensure that all stores are properly staffed, trained, and equipped to meet customer needs and expectations.
  • Manage and motivate a team of retail staff, providing coaching, support, and guidance as needed.
  • Monitor and analyze sales and customer data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with other departments, such as marketing, merchandising, and operations, to ensure that retail operations are aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure that stores are properly stocked and merchandised.
  • Ensure that all stores comply with company policies and procedures, as well as with local laws and regulations.
  • Maintain a strong customer focus, and ensure that all stores provide high-quality customer service at all times.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
  • 2-12 years of experience in a retail management role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to achieve their goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of retail industry trends and best practices, as well as local market conditions and customer preferences.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
