Roles and Responsibilities:

EDI Systems Management:

Monitor and maintain the Oracle EDI system, ensuring seamless integration and data exchange between SAP and external trading partners.

Configure, manage, and support EDI transactions including purchase orders (850), planning schedules (830), price/sales catalog (832), functional acknowledgments (997), and other business documents.

Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

Communicating across teams is the key mandate for this role.

Provide technical support for EDI-related issues, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of system errors and transaction failures.

Troubleshoot EDI transaction errors, data mapping issues, and connectivity problems with a strong focus on minimising downtime and ensuring data integrity.

Should be able to provide an RCA for any issues and suggest fix for the dev team.

Document Handling:

Manage and support the exchange of critical EDI documents such as:855,810,750,751

830: Planning Schedule with Release Capability

832: Price/Sales Catalog

850: Purchase Order

997: Functional Acknowledgment

and other documents with 25 trading partners of customer

Ensure accurate and timely processing of these documents, adhering to industry standards and company protocols.

Support During Outages and Upgrades:

Act as a primary contact for trading partners during outages, providing timely updates and resolution strategies to minimise business impact.

Support trading partners during certificate upgrades, ensuring seamless continuation of secure data exchanges.

Process Optimisation:

Continuously evaluate and optimise EDI processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reliability of data exchanges.

Implement best practices for EDI management, including error handling, data validation, and process automation.

Documentation:

Continuous update to confluence documentation and add issues and functions in detailed.

Provide training and guidance to end-users and team members on EDI systems with suggestions.

Oracle BPEL and OSB 12c:

Utilise Oracle BPEL and Oracle Service Bus (OSB) 12c for orchestrating and managing complex EDI workflows.

Develop, deploy, and manage BPEL processes and OSB services to facilitate seamless EDI integrations and data flows.

Critical Skills to Possess:

• 6+ years of experience in Oracle EBS and EDI systems support and management.
• Strong knowledge of EDI standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and protocols (e.g., AS2, FTP, SFTP).
• Proficiency in Oracle EDI tools and technologies, including SAP, Oracle B2B, and Oracle SOA Suite.
• Experience with EDI mapping and transformation tools such as Gentran, BizTalk, or similar.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Oracle BPEL and Oracle Service Bus (OSB) 12c for managing and optimizing EDI workflows.

Work Times:

2PM IST to 11PM IST will be work hours and remote work options on weekend support.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
