nOverview:n
nTRC is seeking a detail-oriented, experienced Market ResearchAnalyst who has minimum 5 years of prior experience, or relevant experience as a Business Intelligence, Market Intelligence, Strategy or Marketing Analyst. This role will primarily provide external-focused, market research support as part of the growing business and market intelligence team. The ideal candidate will have experience conducting research and providing analysis for the Energy, Environmental, and Infrastructure market sectors primarily in the United States, but also globally.
nThe Market Research Analyst has the primary responsibility to enable informed decision making by providing the businesses with relevant market and industry information and recommendations related to TRCs clients in the environmental, infrastructure, and energy markets. They will be responsible for conducting primary and secondary market research in support of TRCs strategic and tactical initiatives. This position works closely with management and senior leadership.
nResponsibilities:n
- Conduct detailed market research, data analysis, and client and/or competitive analysis using publicly available and internally created sources
- nIdentify, analyze, and interpret industry and market trends or patterns that are relevant to TRCs client base
- nCraft compelling stories to translate research into actionable insights that address key trends
- nUse critical thinking and problem-solving skills to create and deliver recommendations that address business problems, support informed decision-making, and enable revenue growth opportunities
- nSkilled listener with a fast understanding of stakeholders needs
- nProvide support to the business development teams on service positioning relative to competitive landscape and client needs
nQualifications:n
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of prior Market Research Analyst experience, or relevant experience as a Business Intelligence, Market Intelligence, Strategy or Marketing Analyst
- nDemonstrated business acumen
- nStrong understanding of market research and analysis techniques
- nProficient knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and advanced knowledge of Excel with the ability to learn other applicable software as needed
- nAble to nurture and build relationships with internal stakeholders
- nStrong analytical and critical thinking skills
- nStrong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and staff at all levels required
- nAbility to focus on details, handle multiple tasks, and remain highly organized to prioritize and meet deadlines
- nLearn concepts quickly and apply them to come up with creative solutions
- nProactive approach to problem solving
- nWork independently and collaboratively as required
- nProficiency with PowerBI and/or Tableau Desktop is a preferred
- nCompetency with statistical software like SPSS, SAS, R, Python or SQL is a plus
