JDA/BY WMS Technical Consultant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated JDA/BY WMS Technical Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Warehouse Management Systems, particularly JDA (Blue Yonder) WMS. You will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting WMS solutions in accordance with industry best practices. You will work closely with clients to understand their business needs, provide technical expertise, and ensure successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and understand their warehouse processes to provide effective WMS solutions.
• Configure and customize JDA/BY WMS applications to meet client-specific needs and enhance operational efficiency.
• Develop and execute implementation plans, including system design, data migration, and user acceptance testing.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for WMS issues, both during and after implementation.
• Conduct training sessions for end-users and provide comprehensive documentation on system functionalities.
• Work with project managers to track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, supply chain, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of WMS with other systems.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in warehouse management and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 4 to 12 years of experience in JDA (Blue Yonder) WMS implementation and support.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain processes.
• Proficiency in configuring and customizing JDA/BY WMS modules such as inventory management, order fulfillment, and transportation management.
• Proven experience with data migration techniques and ETL processes.
• Familiarity with SQL, scripting, and database management for creating custom reports and data analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client interaction.
• Certifications in JDA/BY products and methodologies are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with JDA/BY WMS version upgrades and release management.
• Knowledge of integration with ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, etc.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management practices.
