About the role:
We are an emerging IT software services company, focused on delivering innovative solutions in areas like Digital transformation, custom software development, cloud services, mobile app development, e-commerce platforms, IoT, and more. We are looking to build a strong presence in the market, and we need a Senior Sales Lead who can strategically guide our sales efforts and generate business in both online and offline domains. Someone entrepreneurial, experienced sales leader who can grow the company's client base, establish sales processes, and scale a high-performing team.
The Senior Sales Lead will be responsible for spearheading our business development efforts. The ideal candidate will have the expertise to generate leads, build client relationships, and convert opportunities into revenue. They should have a proven ability to build business for a new IT services company, set up the required sales processes, and identify the skills and tools necessary for success. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking and hands-on execution to drive growth in a highly competitive market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Business Development: Identify, target, and build new Project Sales(IT Services) & Consulting sales (Staff Aug.) opportunities through a mix of online and offline channels. Develop a strong understanding of the IT services and products landscape and how our offerings can address market needs.
- Sales Strategy: Design and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to acquire new clients and expand into new markets. This includes defining sales goals, creating action plans, and tracking progress.
- Lead Generation: Utilize digital marketing, social selling (LinkedIn, SEO), email campaigns, industry networking, events, and cold outreach to generate a pipeline of qualified leads.
- Client Acquisition: Engage with prospective clients, understand their business needs, propose relevant IT solutions, and close sales. Deliver high-quality presentations, proposals, and RFP responses. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and progress in the sales pipeline
- Revenue Generation: Drive revenue growth through both short-term opportunities and long-term strategic partnerships. Ensure consistent achievement of monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets.
- Team Building: Help build and mentor a high-performing sales team. Define the necessary sales roles, identify required skills, and recommend tools and technology (e.g., CRM, automation, analytics) to optimize the sales process.
- Market Research: Conduct competitive analysis and research market trends to identify new service opportunities and areas of growth. Use insights to position our offerings effectively.
- Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to represent the company, network with potential clients, and gather business intelligence.
- Sales Operations: Establish processes for managing the sales pipeline, tracking KPIs, and reporting on sales performance. Work closely with the leadership team to align sales activities with overall business goals.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience: 4+ years of sales experience, preferably in the IT services or software development space, with a proven track record of generating revenue from scratch.
- Sales Expertise: Strong knowledge of IT services (Digital transformation, custom software development, cloud solutions, mobile apps, IoT, etc.) and experience with both online and offline sales techniques.
- New Business Creation: Demonstrated experience in building and scaling the sales function for a new business or startup IT services company.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to design long-term sales strategies while also executing tactical plans to meet short-term goals.
- Digital & Traditional Sales Skills: Proficient in using digital marketing tools for lead generation (LinkedIn, email marketing, SEO), combined with expertise in face-to-face client acquisition techniques (networking, cold calling, etc.).
- Leadership & Team Building: Preferred to have previous experience in building, leading, and motivating sales teams. Ability to identify talent gaps, provide training, and recommend tools and resources for success.
- Tools & Technologies: Strong proficiency in using CRM systems, sales automation tools, and other relevant software to manage leads and track sales performance.
- Client-Centric Approach: Ability to understand customer needs, communicate complex IT solutions, and tailor proposals to meet specific business challenges.
- Communication & Negotiation Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, with strong presentation, proposal writing, and contract negotiation skills.
