Job Summary
Our Client is one of Australia's leading payment gateways, specialising in the collection of payments for clients around Australia in industries such as Healthcare/Fitness, Childcare, Medical and many. As the CRM Product Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing the CRM product strategy for a payments-focused business. You'll develop and maintain a product roadmap that meets our business objectives and addresses the unique needs of our customers in the payments industry. This role requires a proactive, cross-functional leader who thrives in managing integrations with
various payment systems, ensuring our CRM offers seamless and efficient functionality for payment processing, customer engagement, and business intelligence. You'll oversee the full product lifecycle, manage complex integrations, and continuously refine the product to meet high standards in both customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
Own the CRM Product Strategy
- Define a CRM product roadmap that aligns with company goals and is responsive to customer needs, industry trends, and payment industry regulations.
- Ensure the CRM solution effectively integrates with existing payment platforms and aligns with the broader financial ecosystem.
- Stay informed on competitive CRM offerings in payments and adjust our strategy to keep company innovative and responsive.
Lead Product Development
- Collaborate closely with engineering and operations to guide product development, from ideation to deployment, with a focus on payment-related features.
- Champion timely and high-quality delivery, balancing payment integration complexities with user experience and compliance requirements.
Manage Stakeholder Expectations
- Engage with internal stakeholdersincluding the CEO, Product, Operations, and Engineering Headstoshape and communicate the CRM product vision, especially in terms of payment integrations and CRMcapabilities for payments.
Product Lifecycle Management
Lead the CRM product through its lifecycle: initial planning, development, launch, and ongoing refinement, incorporating specific features for payments processing, transaction tracking, and fraud management.
Agile Delivery
Manage the product backlog and support Scrum teams in adopting Agile methodologies to ensure effective prioritisation and release cadence. Prioritise payment feature rollouts and compliance updates in response to regulatory changes.
Customer-Centric Approach
Regularly engage with customers to gain insights into their payment processing and CRM needs, refining the product to address pain points and add value in payments-related features. Data-Driven Decisions
Leverage product metrics, customer feedback, and payment processing data to guide strategic decisions and refine product features.
Review analytics and reporting tools within the CRM to give users insights into payment behaviours, customer transactions, and business performance.
Cross-Functional Leadership
Drive development of key integrations, I.e. Cuscal, Cybersource, mobile payment gateways, and other essential payment processors, ensuring efficient transaction management and customer data flows.
Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure all integrations meet industry standards for data security, especially for payments. Team Collaboration
Work with teams in Australia and Egypt to align on project goals and execution, ensuring that all CRM features and payment integrations are well-supported and fit into the larger product vision and roadmap.
Requirement
- Tertiary qualification in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work
- 10+ years of experience as a Product Manager, ideally in a payments or SaaS environment.
- Experience in payment systems, CRM, and integration projects is highly desirable.
- Tech-Savvy: A solid understanding of technology, including APIs, integrations, and cloud platforms (AWS,
- Terraform). Previous experience with payment gateways and payment processing systems is a plus.
- Agile Methodology: Proven experience working in Agile teams, using tools like Jira for product management and delivery tracking.
- Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills,
- with the ability to work collaboratively with both onshore and offshore teams.
- Customer-Focused: A passion for understanding customer pain points and creating products that drive customer success.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues, provide creative solutions, and work collaboratively to solve complex challenges.
