We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team as Associate Vice President Financial Accounting.
Principal Responsibilities
- Engage extensively with all stakeholders.
- Review and monitor the adequacy of internal controls within the process.
- Deliver IFRS and regulatory reporting requirements with expertise.
- Establish and maintain a robust quality control framework for outputs and activities.
- Implement governance measures for exceptions, collaborating with various stakeholders for input.
- Lead new projects, assignments, and processes from identification to operational integration.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure end-to-end service delivery meets expectations.
- Efficiently prioritize and plan work tasks.
- Demonstrate strong technical proficiency in accounting and reporting principles.
Requirements
- CA/CPA/ACCA/MBA/ICWAI with at least 8+ years or B. Com with 12+ years of post-qualification experience in accounting and reporting.
- Prior experience in month-end closure processes and Site Reporting is essential.
- Solid understanding of banking and trading products, including derivatives.
- Proven track record in controllership within the BFSI sector, with comprehensive knowledge of financial products and business areas such as Retail, Private, Commercial Banking, and Global Banking.
- Excellent communication skills, adept at simplifying complex technical matters.
- Good knowledge of analytical tools; proficiency in MS Access Database and SAS is advantageous.
- Experience in change and transformation initiatives is a plus.
- Working knowledge of GL Systems.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver both BAU and change/transformation projects effectively.
- Experience in policy interpretation and implementation.
- Previous tenure with a Financial Institution is advantageous.
