Job Summary:
The Event Sales Associate will be responsible for promoting and selling advertising and sponsorship opportunities in events associated with the print media business. The role involves identifying potential clients, maintaining relationships with existing ones, and achieving sales targets through effective negotiation and client management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and generate new business opportunities through targeted prospecting of advertisers, sponsors, and partners for print media events.
- Actively sell sponsorship and advertising packages for various events, exhibitions, and conferences.
- Conduct market research to identify new trends and untapped market potential.
2. Client Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and ensure their sponsorship and advertising needs are met.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure timely execution of agreements with clients.
- Provide after-sales support, addressing client feedback and ensuring customer satisfaction.
3. Event Promotion:
- Collaborate with the marketing and events team to develop customized sponsorship proposals and marketing materials for clients.
- Act as the primary point of contact for event sponsors and advertisers, ensuring their involvement in the event is seamless and well-executed.
4. Target Achievement:
- Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets within specified time frames.
- Track and report on sales performance, client interactions, and potential leads.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the event production team to ensure that sponsor requirements are integrated into the event planning process.
- Coordinate with the content and editorial team to align print media coverage and event activities.
6. Administration:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, customer contacts, and contracts using CRM tools.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communication, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in event sponsorships or advertising within the print or media industry.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- High energy and a results-driven approach to achieving targets.
- Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting.
Preferred Skills:
- Prior experience in event management or coordination.
- Understanding of the print media and publishing industry.
- Knowledge of advertising and media planning strategies.
