Overview
We are seeking an Associate Consultant with 2-3 years of experience in banking, specializing in the design of credit products (with a specialization in uncollateralized loans), regulatory compliance, and credit risk modeling. This role is ideal for someone passionate about financial innovation and risk management, ready to contribute to our team by developing sophisticated credit risk models and managing key data collection processes.
Responsibilities
- Product Design and Development:
- Assisted in designing and developing banking products for MSMEs and small businesses, including rural stakeholders.
- Collaborated well with senior consultants to refine product offerings based on market needs and regulatory frameworks.
- Credit Risk Modelling:
- Develop and implement credit risk models to assess the viability and risk of lending products in the banking sector.
- Continuously improve models based on new data and changing market conditions.
- Data Management:
- Ability to identify data points for collection both from the primary and secondary sources suitable to run the credit risk models
- Worked in large data collection projects where the accuracy of the collected data is the metric.
- Manage the collection, validation, and analysis of data used in credit risk models.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all credit risk and product design projects.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay updated with relevant banking regulations and ensure all products and risk models comply.
- Prepare reports and presentations for regulatory bodies as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferable.
- 2-3 years of experience in banking, specifically in product design and credit risk modelling.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and risk assessment tools (e.g., SAS, R, Python).Anyone among them.
- Strong understanding of credit risk concepts and the regulatory landscape in banking.
