Compliance Data analytics

What will you be doing

Support with the planning/scoping, execution and reporting of Assurance tests and reviews utilising data analytics testing techniques. Utilise logic and analytical skills in reviews while providing assurance and identifying issues. In partnership with other areas of Compliance, investigate issues (actual or perceived).

Provide guidance and support to Assurance colleagues adopting data analytics within review testing; encourage the adoption of data analytics techniques within review work and drive efficiency and high-quality Assurance coverage.

Drive ongoing engagement with the wider Assurance function; own the delivery of key stakeholder fora to share best practice in the use of data analytics within Assurance and in Compliance testing and encourage colleague upskilling in data analytics.

Drive and support the realisation of the Compliance Assurance Data Analytics team strategy and initiatives; engage and collaborate with Compliance colleagues in the development and implementation of strategic systems and processes to improve ways of working.

Support the team to build capability to deliver assurance reviews; share good practice with colleagues on executing assurance work and seek opportunities to innovate and provide automated solutions.

Complete other duties at the discretion of the head of Compliance Assurance Data Analytics and senior management.

What we're looking for:

- Ability to perform data analytics on structured and/or unstructured data, and strong experience with a number of the commonly used data analytics tools/languages used in the team e.g. SQL, SAS, Python and data visualisation software such as Tableau

- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to be proportionate, pragmatic and resilient. Able to communicate technical concepts with clarity and purpose both in written and verbal formats.

- Knowledge of key Compliance risk areas (such as Financial Crime, Conduct and Reputational Risk) and/or relevant regulations and technology systems

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Experience in developing and executing testing/assurance strategies to assess control environments; as part of a systems/IT assurance function, internal or external audit role, or as part of a risk management function

- Experience in completing or leading assurance reviews/controls testing/audits to a high standard and with minimal supervision
