JOB DESCRIPTION CMO or CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER
Job brief:
We are looking for an experienced Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to oversee all Marketing Operations of the company (Marut Dronetech Pvt Ltdwww.marutdrones.com) and develop its marketing strategy and vision.
The CMO will be in charge of a team of enthusiastic marketing professionals and will direct our marketing efforts towards great success.
A candidate who is passionate for their profession and has great knowledge for all things marketing, with a balance of a practical mindset with a creative business acumen and lead people through complex marketing operations.
The goal is to ensure the company's marketing efforts are successful in helping it outperform competition.
This position would report to the CEO of Marut Dronetech and would have a Marketing Team reporting to him/her.
Responsibilities
Listen to the trends of the market and direct the market research efforts of the company.
Study, observe and gather market intelligence on competitors and the future of the AGRITECH and DRONETECH Industry in India.
Liaise with other departments to guide a unified approach to customer service, distribution etc. that meets market demands
Define marketing strategies to support the company's overall strategies and objectives
Develop a feasible marketing plan for the department and oversee its day-to-day implementation
Plan and organize marketing functions and operations (product development, branding, communications etc.), and ensure they project the company's unique voice
Design and coordinate promotional campaigns, PR and other marketing efforts across channels (digital, press etc.)
Build a highly efficient team of marketing professionals
Create a solid network of strategic partnerships
Requirements and skills
Proven experience as chief marketing officer or similar role especially in the AGRITECH Space.
Demonstrable experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for all marketing aspects (branding, product promotion etc.)
Solid understanding of market research and data analysis methods
Ability to apply marketing techniques over digital (e.g. social media) and non-digital (e.g. press) channels
Understanding of different business disciplines (Agriculture, Agri Equipment, implements, AGRITECH etc.)
Proficient in MS Office and business software (e.g. CRM)
A leader with both creative and analytical capabilities
Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities
EDUCATION:
BTech (AGRICULTURE is IDEAL), any Graduate with a good understanding if the AGRITECH Industry is also acceptable with a post-graduation in business administration, marketing, communications or relevant field is mandatory.
AGE & EXPERIENCE: We are a young company and we are happy to hire people who are in the 40-49 age group. This would mean that post qualification and relevant experience of a total career spanning over 10-15 years, and have experience as a CMO in an AgriTech of 2-5 years would be ideal.
BUDGET: We are a very young company with a Sales Revenue of just 1 year Cycle and hence may not be paying the top of the market salaries. However, we are happy to protect your take home and give you a good ESOP deal as soon as it takes place which is at the end of completion of year 1 with Marut. If your take home has already crossed 1.8-2 Lakhs per month, we would not be able to afford you.
