Job Summary:
The Business Research Manager is responsible for overseeing and conducting comprehensive research projects that provide actionable insights to support business strategy and decision-making. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, competitive analysis, and consumer behavior. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research Strategy Development: Develop and implement research strategies that align with business objectives and provide valuable insights into market trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
- Project Management: Lead and manage end-to-end research projects, including planning, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Data Analysis: Analyze complex data sets to identify patterns, trends, and insights that inform business decisions. Use statistical tools and methodologies to ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor and analyze market conditions, industry developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and sales, to ensure research findings are integrated into business strategies.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations that effectively communicate research findings and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior research staff, providing guidance and support to develop their skills and ensure the quality of their work.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Marketing, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in business research, market analysis, or a similar role. Experience in a managerial or supervisory position is a plus.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large amounts of data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in research methodologies, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with research tools (e.g., SPSS, SAS, Tableau).
