The role of a Business Development Manager is to assist the organizations sales and growth efforts by contributing to new customer acquisition. He/she should be able to provide ideas to attract new clients and keep senior management updated about marketplace and competitor activity.
Responsibilities
- Monitor effective implementation of International Business Development/International sales activities.
- Manage the entire cycle from Lead Generation to closure of the deal.
- Plan and execute business campaigns using various communication mediums like email marketing, social media, etc
- Analyze business strategies and devise improvement plans for sustainable growth.
- Oversee all business development processes, ensuring compliance with government policies and regulations.
- Assist businesses in identifying opportunities and crafting strategic plans for enhancement.
- Analyze current business performance and forecast future prospects.
- Handle all customer communication and foster strong relationships.
- Identify and map business strengths to match client needs.
- Manage sales pipeline, forecast monthly sales, and explore new business opportunities.
- Develop pricing strategies tailored to customer budgets and procurement methods.
- Evaluate market trends and provide support for product development initiatives.
Knowledge and Experience - Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Development within the IT industry, particularly in software service provider companies.
- Proven track record of working with US-based clients and achieving success in both B2B and B2C sales activities.
- Proficient in soft skills such as negotiation, convincing, and presentation.
- Comprehensive understanding of IT industry trends, related technologies, and SDLC processes relevant to the Business Development Manager role.
- Technical proficiency in handling bidding portals like LinkedIn, Upwork, PPH, Fiverr, etc
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters or Bachelors degree in Business Management.
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field would be advantageous and add value to the role.
- Hands-on experience with CRM systems is advantageous.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
- Ability to create compelling presentations and negotiate effectively.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and attention to detail.
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
