Job Description

The role requires expertise in automotive systems, advanced vehicle technologies, sustainable mobility, and applied research, aligned with current academic and industry needs.

Academic Responsibilities

  • Teach UG (B.Tech/BE) and PhD programs in Automobile Engineering.
  • Courses may include Automotive Engines & Emissions, Vehicle Dynamics, EV & Hybrid Vehicles, Automotive Electronics, Powertrain Systems, and Advanced Manufacturing.
  • Develop outcome-based curriculum as per NEP 2020, AICTE, and industry standards.
  • Implement experiential, simulation-based, and laboratory-driven learning.

Research & Supervision

  • Conduct high-quality research and publish in UGC-CARE / Scopus / SCI journals.
  • Supervise PhD scholars and postgraduate research.
  • Secure funded projects from government agencies and industry.
  • Promote interdisciplinary and industry-collaborative research.

Industry & Outreach

  • Build industryacademia collaborations for internships, consultancy, and sponsored projects.
  • Contribute to Centers of Excellence, EV and testing laboratories.
  • Organize FDPs, workshops, certification programs, and conferences.
  • Engage with professional bodies (SAE, ISTE, IEI, ASME).

Institutional Responsibilities

  • Support academic administration, accreditation (NBA/NAAC), curriculum review, and student mentoring.
  • Participate in departmental governance and faculty development.

Eligibility (UGC 2018 & Amendments)

  • PhD in Automobile Engineering (mandatory).
  • Master's & Bachelor's degrees in Automobile Engineering with minimum 55%.
  • Minimum 8 years of teaching/research/industry experience.
  • At least 5 peer-reviewed research publications.

  • Electric, Hybrid & Hydrogen Vehicles
  • Vehicle Dynamics, NVH & Safety
  • Automotive Electronics & Control Systems
  • Simulation tools (MATLAB, ANSYS, AVL, GT-Power)
