Technical Assistants can be found in various settings and in a wide assortment of industries. Beginning with their daily tasks, they would need to work with business clients or may need to support an internal team or individual persons. The candidate's role is a blend of administrative support and technical assistance. Technical Assistants generally work under the direct guidance of a team leader or a manager. Their duties would include having daily interfaces and dealings with a host of staff and maybe customers too. They should be able to operate well in a team and be adept to work without constant supervision. Technical Assistants' tasks include filing, scanning, faxing, composing correspondences, data entry, making travel arrangements and ordering supplies. Organizing meetings is also part of their KRA and the candidate will be required to schedule meetings, book conference rooms, and prepare any documents or matter needed for the meetings. Technical Assistants may also need to create reports, maintain records and conduct research, as well. As a Technical Assistant, the aspirant may also be called in to aid customers with computer applications if the industry demands so. In other cases, s/he may be required to show and assist staff with the proper use of technical devices. Technical Assistants also need to be able to work under pressure and deadlines.
