Looking for an HVAC design engineer job? Are you good with creating and developing refrigeration and heating systems for commercial as well as residential properties? As an HVAC design engineer, you will be called on to work full time during all shifts, principally during the day. HVAC design engineers are expected to report to the project manager or the construction foreman who is available on the site. Travel is thus an inherent part of this job profile because HVAC design engineers are required to visit various construction sites and properties to identify as well as assess heating and cooling needs. They will be able to design various systems to address these needs only after having seen the sites. HVAC design engineers are mainly required to look into the creation of heating and cooling systems along with their controls. The candidates will also need to make load calculations to determine how much heating and cooling power is required. The HVAC design engineers will also be required to read as well as construe construction plans apart from schematics, and blueprints for new construction projects. The candidates are also supposed to draft new plans to be able to design ductwork along with piping systems. HVAC design engineers should have a strong degree of mechanical aptitude and an inherent love for math.
