As someone applying for a hospital pharmacist's role, the candidate should be quite knowledgeable in the field of medicines and know how they're used and what their effect is on the human body. The aspirants are also responsible for allotting prescriptions and are also involved in the buying and quality testing of medicines. They may also be expected to manufacture medicines, as some treatments require customized solutions. The candidate will have to work closely with medical and nursing staff. Not just that, s/he will have to make sure that the hospital patients receive the best treatment. The candidate will also be required to advise as well as give out the dose and look into the type of administration. Checking prescriptions for errors is also the task of a hospital pharmacist. S/he will have to ensure they're appropriate and safe for the individual patient. Participating in ward rounds is also part of the candidate's KRA. Liaising with other medical staff is also part of the aspirant's KPI.
