Education & Experience
B Tech + MBA (From Teir One Institute) with 3-5 years of experience in Demand Planning
B Tech + MBA (From Teir two Institute) with 6-8 years of experience in Demand Planning
BTech with 8-10 yrs experience in Demand Planning
Job Responsibilities
Convert demand plan into production plan for relevant factories with in regions
Weekly adherence of production plan
Control STOs for traded products (produced outside region)
Drive S&OP for CSD products
Support Regional SCM Head for planning operations
Local coordination with SOHs for collation of demands and drive reasoning
Drive forecast accuracy at regional level
Oversee demand planning for existing products.
Working on a SAP to generate forecast ( primary software to generate forecast)
Prepare input data for SAP to generate rolling forecast of forward 3 months ( SKU assortment, classification, Promo & NPD volumes)
Once forecast is ready, we thoroughly check & moderate forecast based on historical sales trend, upcoming promo's& marketing campaign.
While moderating forecast we do consider future supply concerns ( If any)
Aligning moderated forecast with all the ZSM's & marketing.
Provide forecast to the Supply Planning team in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
Reviewing & providing additional forecast (comes anytime in month) after aligning with supply & marketing team.
Maintain the promo approvals / business approvals, records for all NPDs before incorporating in forecast
Work with sales & SCM team to improve forecast accuracy.
Conducting monthly SKU grid meeting with BM's to discuss & close forward 4 months assortment, promos & NPD's
Preparing of demand planning S&OP slides for management review
Update sales team about product availabilities to improve service level.
Co-ordinate with sales & marketing to consume low shelf life stock.
Generate demand plan and forecasts basis historical data, market drivers, seasonality& sales plan
Forecasting demand needs and facilitating inventory turnover & product availability by reviewing and adjusting inventory levels
Support in preparation of short- term supply mitigation solutions in response to sudden demand changes
Work with Sales and/or Marketing, and lead Consensus; resolve demand-related queries
Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Supply Planning to help manage new product introductions, re-stages and discontinuations
Maintain Master Data and Systems.
Collate Information and Assumptions for demand levers.
Create and monitor a statistical forecast in SAP or an alternate ERP for rolling 3 months
Create statistical forecasts gather, analyze and validate data, execute statistical modelling software, review resulting statistical forecast model, apply error analysis techniques to improve forecasting, summarize/aggregate statistical forecasts.
Generate monthly statistical forecast based on historical sales trends.
Provide input to sales & operational planning in developing inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs.
Track inventory across multiple locations and create a supply plan to replenish inventory
Provide primary data for preparing production plans.
Projecting supply risks in timely manner.
Prepare and maintain relevant reports pertaining to demand planning process
Candidate profile
B Tech + MBA (From Teir One Institute) with 3-5 years of experience in Demand Planning
B Tech + MBA (From Teir two Institute) with 6-8 years of experience in Demand Planning
BTech with 8-10 yrs experience in Demand Planning
Strong knowledge of demand planning process in FMCG sector preferably personal care & laundry.
Should have good knowledge &functional experience in forecasting tools
Experience in managing end of life cycle and absolute inventory
Knowledge of the breadth of SCM business and capabilities.
Strong communication skills to include an ability to tailor style to different audiences. Understanding demand planning systems
