- Operations of WTP:
- Direct and coordinate the daily activities of the water treatment plant, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Monitor water treatment processes, adjusting parameters as needed to maintain quality and regulatory compliance.
- Perform inspections and troubleshoot issues to ensure the consistent and safe treatment of water.
- Staff Management
- Supervise, train, and develop a team of operators and maintenance staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and safety training.
- Ensure that staff is up-to-date on standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and emergency response procedures.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all local and state regulations related to water treatment, environmental standards, and workplace safety.
- Prepare, review, and submit required reports, permits, and documentation to regulatory bodies and Client.
- Stay informed of changes in regulations, updating processes and policies as needed to maintain compliance.
- Process Optimization
- Analyze plant performance data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, cost reductions, and process enhancements.
- Implement process adjustments, new technologies, or equipment upgrades to optimize water treatment operations.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate and improve plant productivity and effectiveness.
- Budgeting and Resource Management
- Manage the plant's operating budget, tracking expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and forecasting future resource needs.
- Oversee the procurement and inventory of chemicals, equipment, and other supplies necessary for water treatment operations.
- Collaborate with senior management on capital projects, infrastructure improvements, and long-term planning.
- Health and Safety
- Promote and enforce a safe work environment by implementing safety standards, conducting risk assessments, and leading safety meetings.
- Respond to and manage emergency situations such as system failures or natural disasters, ensuring quick and effective recovery.
- Community Relations and Communication
- Serve as a liaison with government agencies, local communities, and stakeholders to provide information and address concerns related to water quality and treatment.
- Represent the plant in community outreach, public hearings, and regulatory meetings as needed.
Experience with SCADA systems or similar process control software.
Knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO standards.
Proven ability to lead process improvements and cost-reduction initiatives.
