Job Summary: A Workshop Manager oversees the operations of a workshop or service center, ensuring that repairs and maintenance are carried out in a safe, efficient, and timely manner. They manage a team of technicians and mechanics, ensuring that work orders are processed correctly, customers are satisfied with the service they receive, and the workshop meets its productivity and profitability goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day operations of the workshop, including scheduling repairs, assigning work orders, and managing inventory.
Supervise and train technicians and mechanics to ensure that work is performed safely and efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, labor hours, and parts used.
Ensure that the workshop is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
Develop and implement policies and procedures for the workshop, including safety protocols and quality control measures.
Manage and track the performance of the workshop and its employees, including productivity, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
