Works Manager (Manufacturing)

• Purpose:To lead Companys operation function with the highest degree of accuracy, dedication, and integrity.
• The Works Manager for Company should supervise production, quality, Purchase teams to ensure full adherence to quality and manufacturing standards, core values, and policies.
• Strives to find more cost-effective methods of manufacturing products, thereby providing better value to customers.
• Senior Management experience in an electronic, electric electro-mechanical product

• To achieve On-time delivery (OTD)
• Work on process improvement.
• Reduction in rework and rejection cost. (COPQ) customer complaints
• Improve on sample development turnaround time (TAT)
• Work on continual improvement. Drive Kaizen initiatives at the plant level.
• Effective utilization of man and machine.
• Work on Machine maintenance calendar
• Work on benchmarking, and set standard measurement criteria for reviewing data.
• Responsible for the Profit and Loss sheet of the company.
• Ensure ON TIME IN BIN material
• Should be able to handle cross-function teams (Purchase, Production, QC, and Engineering. Teams).
• Issue joint statement with Sales Marketing team achievement of monthly top line as per prediction
• Identify training needs, learning needs of the team fulfilling the same

Technical Competencies:
- A Basic understanding of motors, gears, and gearboxes and Know all product applications.
- Good understanding of machines, manufacturing (press components, Moulding, Die casting, Gear hobbing, Shaft mfg., CNC turning, Automats, Traubs, etc.) and automation process etc.
- General knowledge about Press/Moulding/Pressure die-casting process and Tooling.
- Knowledge of fits and tolerances.
- Understanding of quality control processes and different type of quality tools and their application.
- Good understanding of standards such as UL, RoHS, CE, etc.
- A Basic understanding of supplier and vendor development.
- Basic idea about IT infrastructure and soft wares available to reduce manual entry.
- Good knowledge of machine maintenance.
- Knowledge of working on Bill of material.
- Able to work on cost reduction initiatives.
- Basic knowledge of plant layout.
- Driving license of car for business use.

Managerial Skills:
- Diligent approach for system and processes.
- Advanced PC skills including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated initiative and drive to achieve results..
- Able to see the bigger picture (i.e. stats, probability, etc.) and present them effectively
- Understand dependencies and threats, work on risk mitigation.
- Must be a problem solver and be able to think on their own.
- Must be able to handle blue-collar people properly.
- Excellent understanding of how to set up and maintain systems.
- Good planner. Someone who always has a backup plan.
