Job Title: Workday HCM Functional Consultant

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Workday HCM Functional Consultant to join our HR technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Workday HCM, with expertise in configuring, implementing, and supporting the various HR modules within the platform, including Core HR, Payroll, Recruiting, Talent Management, and Compensation. The role will involve collaborating with stakeholders to gather business requirements, design solutions, and ensure the successful deployment of Workday solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workday HCM Configuration & Implementation:
  • Lead or assist in the configuration, testing, and implementation of Workday HCM solutions (Core HR, Payroll, Talent, Benefits, etc.).
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define and document business requirements.
  • Provide expertise in aligning Workday functionality with business processes.
  • Design and configure Workday security roles, business processes, and data integrations.
  • Functional Support & Troubleshooting:
  • Provide day-to-day functional support to HR teams for Workday HCM modules.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues and provide guidance on Workday best practices.
  • Work with technical teams to resolve complex system issues and implement enhancements.
  • System Integration & Reporting:
  • Collaborate with IT and third-party vendors to integrate Workday with other HRIS, payroll, and ERP systems.
  • Develop and maintain custom reports using Workday's reporting tools.
  • Advise on Workday integrations, data migration, and system enhancements.
  • Training & Documentation:
  • Develop training materials and provide training to HR teams and end users on Workday HCM modules.
  • Ensure proper documentation of configurations, custom reports, and business processes.
  • Project Management:
  • Manage or assist with Workday HCM upgrade and implementation projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Provide subject matter expertise during the project life cycle, from planning through go-live.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Monitor the system for opportunities to improve HR processes and enhance the use of Workday.
  • Stay updated on new Workday features and functionality and make recommendations for system optimization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in implementing, configuring, or supporting Workday HCM modules.
  • Strong functional knowledge of Workday HCM, including Core HR, Recruiting, Talent Management, Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll.
  • Experience in Workday integrations and report creation using Workday's reporting tools (e.g., Workday Report Writer, Prism Analytics).
  • Familiarity with Workday Security and Business Process configuration.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with project management or Agile methodologies is a plus.
