Workday Functional Configuration Analyst, Human Capital Management to join our dynamic Workday product team here at Fortrea. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring and maintaining our Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system to support our HR processes, initiatives, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Workday configuration, a deep understanding of HR business processes, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Overall, they act as the liaison between the product team and stakeholders, to deliver value and meet business objectives.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Configure and maintain Workday HCM modules such as Core HCM, Compensation (Advanced), Recruiting, Time Tracking, Talent Management, and Absence Management.
- Collaborate with HR stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into system configurations and workflows.
- Conduct configuration changes and perform unit testing to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Provide SME-level support and troubleshooting for Workday-related issues and inquiries.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, user guides, and training materials.
- Stay updated with Workday releases and new features; evaluate and implement new functionalities as needed.
- Participate in bi-weekly sprints & annual planning activities (R1/R2 releases).
Qualifications (Minimum Required):
- Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, data science, or a related field.
- Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements
- Workday Pro Certification in HCM or other relevant modules preferred.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Workday Functional Configuration Analyst or similar role, with a focus on HR modules.
- Strong understanding of HR business processes.
- Ability to analyze complex problems, propose effective solutions, and implement them within Workday.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work and meeting deadlines.
- Experience in Product Development, Project Management, or similar roles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically and design innovative product solutions.
Experience (Minimum Required):
- At least 4 years of experience in an analyst, BRM or development role
- Prior experience in IT project management, product management, business analysis, or software development.
- Working knowledge of regulatory requirements and IT technologies for the related functional area.
- Advanced computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and Power Point).
Preferred Qualifications Include:
- Masters degree in computer science, information technology, data science, or a related field.
- Experience in a Clinical Research Organization or healthcare-related industry.
