Job Position: Work Permit Engineer

Experience Required:
- Gulf Experience: 2 to 5 years in shipbuilding/repair works, with a focus on Work Permit to Work (PTW) procedures and safety management.
- Qualifications: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with a valid PTW CARD (Permit to Work) certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work Permit Administration: Responsible for managing and overseeing the Work Permit system for all activities on site, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Permit Issuance: Issue work permits for various types of maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring that work activities are conducted in a safe and controlled manner.
- Safety Supervision: Conduct safety audits and inspections to verify that the worksite is safe before permitting work to begin.
- Coordination with Teams: Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and safety officers to ensure all work is performed under appropriate work permits, and that risks are identified and mitigated.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain records of permits, work activities, and safety checks. Prepare reports on permit status, incidents, and any deviations from safety protocols.
- Ensure Compliance: Enforce compliance with site safety regulations and company policies during all work activities.
- Training & Guidance: Provide guidance to workers on safe work practices and assist in safety inductions where necessary.
Schedule of Work:
- Work is carried out on a two-shift basis every day.
- Shift Timings:
- Day shift: 8 hours (e.g., 08:00 16:00)
- Night shift: 8 hours (e.g., 20:00 04:00)
- Lunch Break: 12:00 to 13:00 hours (for day shift)
- Dinner Break: 00:00 to 01:00 hours (for night shift)
- Normal Working Hours per Shift: 10 hours (Overtime is not paid beyond the 10-hour shift)
- Target-driven Role: Candidates must meet output and safety requirements as per client specifications and project timelines.

- Safety Focus: Ability to ensure all work activities are carried out with a high emphasis on safety and compliance with international standards.
- Documentation Skills: Proficient in preparing and maintaining permit documentation and reports.
- Team Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments (engineering, safety, operations).
