As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining websites using the WordPress content management system. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Designing and implementing new features and functionality on existing websites.
- Creating and maintaining custom WordPress themes and plugins.
- Troubleshooting and debugging issues with existing websites.
- Optimising website performance and security.
- Collaborating with other team members, such as designers and content creators, to ensure that websites meet the needs of clients and end-users.
- Keeping up to date with the latest WordPress developments and trends.
- Communicating with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions to meet their requirements.
- Creating and maintaining documentation for all website projects.
- Understand UI, cross browser compatibility and general web functions and standards.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- The ideal candidate also has experience with web development best practices, such as responsive design and search engine optimization.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work well in a team environment.
- If a candidate has experience working with other Content Management Systems and web development frameworks that is a plus.
