Roles and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced WordPress Developer/Manager to oversee and optimize our high-traffic WordPress website . The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing large-scale websites, deep expertise in WordPress development, and a strong understanding of analytics and bot traffic management.
As a key member of our team, you will ensure the website operates smoothly, remains secure, and delivers an exceptional user experience. You will also play a critical role in implementing analytics tools and mitigating bot traffic to enhance performance and data accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- WordPress Website Management
- Manage, update, and maintain the WordPress website with a focus on performance and scalability.
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet business requirements.
- Monitor and address issues related to website uptime, performance, and security.
- Ensure website is mobile-responsive and optimized for various devices.
- 2. Analytics and Tracking
- Implement and manage large-scale Google Analytics integrations, including GA4.
- Set up tracking for key website metrics, user behavior, and ad performance.
- Generate actionable insights from analytics data to guide decision-making.
- 3. Bot Traffic Management
- Monitor, identify, and mitigate large-scale bot traffic using tools and techniques such as firewalls, rate-limiting, and reCAPTCHA.
- Work with hosting and CDN providers to reduce server strain caused by bot activity.
- Optimize website infrastructure to handle spikes in legitimate traffic while filtering malicious requests.
- 4. SEO and Content Optimization
- Collaborate with content teams to ensure SEO best practices are implemented.
- Optimize website structure and metadata to improve organic search performance.
- 5. Security and Compliance
- Regularly audit the website for vulnerabilities and apply updates to core, themes, and plugins.
- Implement SSL, firewalls, and other security measures to protect sensitive data.
- Ensure compliance with privacy laws such as GDPR and CCPA.
- Requirements: Experience: 5+ years of professional WordPress development/management experience with websites exceeding 10 lakh visitors per month.
- Analytics Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Google Analytics (including GA4), Tag Manager, and event tracking.
- Bot Traffic Management: Hands-on experience in identifying and mitigating bot traffic using tools like Cloudflare, Akamai, or custom scripts.
- Performance Optimization: Proficiency in optimizing website speed, database queries, and server resources.
- Coding Skills: Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- Security: Strong understanding of web security best practices, including SSL, firewalls, and DDoS protection.
- Hosting and CDN: Familiarity with hosting platforms and CDNs (e.g., AWS, Cloudflare, or WP Engine) for high-traffic websites.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication skills to work with cross-functional teams.
