Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Web Developer with a strong focus on WordPress development to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in WordPress, along with proficiency in JavaScript, PHP, HTML, and CSS. The role involves developing and maintaining our web applications, ensuring they are responsive, user-friendly, and optimized for performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites.
- Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
- Implement new features and functionality, ensuring high performance and availability.
- Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness of web applications.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Develop and maintain server-side.
- Integrate data from various back-end services and databases.
- Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
- Work closely with designers, project managers, and others to deliver high-quality products on time.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in web development, with a strong focus on WordPress.
- Proven experience in developing and customizing WordPress themes and plugins.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of PHP and MySQL.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.
- Knowledge of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility issues.
- Understanding of SEO best practices.
- Knowledge of web security practices.
- Ability to work with debugging tools like Chrome Developer Tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
