Job Description:
As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress-based websites and web applications for our clients. You should have a solid understanding of web development principles, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with WordPress themes, plugins, and customizations. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality websites and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- WordPress Development: Build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
- Theme and Plugin Customization: Customize existing WordPress themes and plugins based on client requirements.
- Responsive Web Design: Ensure websites are fully responsive and optimized for mobile and tablet devices.
- Code Optimization: Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code to ensure website performance and scalability.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to WordPress sites, including performance issues, bugs, and compatibility problems.
- Collaborate with Design & Development Teams: Work closely with designers to implement website designs and user interfaces.
- Client Interaction: Occasionally communicate with clients to gather requirements and provide updates on the project status.
- SEO Best Practices: Implement on-page SEO strategies to improve the visibility and ranking of the websites.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 1.5 to 2 years of hands-on experience with WordPress development.
- Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
- WordPress Expertise: Experience with WordPress themes, plugins, custom post types, and taxonomies.
- Version Control: Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
- Responsive Design: Experience with mobile-first and responsive web design.
- Knowledge of SEO: Basic understanding of SEO best practices for WordPress.
- Cross-Browser Compatibility: Ensure websites are compatible across multiple browsers and devices.
- Problem Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
Education:
- BE/ B.Tech in Computer Science, MCA, MSc (Computer Science or related fields).
