Job Description
As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the latest industry trends and content management systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage websites using WordPress
- Collaborate with the design team to create visually appealing and functional websites
- Customize WordPress themes to meet client specifications
- Develop custom plugins and functionality to enhance website capabilities
- Ensure websites are responsive, cross-browser compatible, and SEO-friendly
- Optimize website performance for speed and scalability
- Conduct website performance tests and monitor site security
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues
- Stay up-to-date with the latest web technologies and WordPress updates
Required Skills
- Proficiency in WordPress development, including theme and plugin development
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP
- Experience with front-end frameworks such as Bootstrap or Foundation
- Familiarity with Webflow for creating and managing websites
- Knowledge of MySQL databases
- Understanding of SEO principles and best practices
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience with WooCommerce for e-commerce website development
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
- Familiarity with modern build tools such as Webpack, Gulp, or Grunt
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles
- Experience with website analytics tools like Google Analytics
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3-4 years of experience in WordPress development
- A portfolio of past WordPress projects
