Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer with 5+ years of expertise in object-oriented PHP, custom theme/plugin development, and building Gutenberg blocks. The ideal candidate will have strong front-end skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), experience with RESTful APIs, and a solid understanding of software development best practices. Familiarity with MVC frameworks, templating engines, and React JS is a plus. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and maintain scalable web applications, ensuring high performance and quality throughout the development lifecycle. Strong communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities:

Develop scalable, maintainable, and fast-performing web applications

Create a WordPress code infrastructure and help with architecture that is built for scaling fast

Develop custom WordPress themes, plugins, and Gutenberg Blocks

Create and update re-usable code libraries to streamline the WordPress development cycle

Be responsible for product quality by optimizing, refactoring, and re-implementing legacy application

Ensure software development best practices and timeliness of product delivery

Discuss and develop new features, enhancements, and content of existing websites with other teams

Support the team with code reviews, workflow improvements, and tight deadlines

Requirement:

5+ years of proven work experience as a WordPress Developer in Object Oriented PHP, building themes, and plugins, utilizing the power of hooks and custom fields

3+ years of previous experience in front-end/web development with the latest HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks, trends, and methodologies

Strong communication skills (preferably in English and a second language)

Hands-on experience in Building Gutenberg blocks is a must

Working experience in building RESTful APIs is a must

Working with MVC frameworks and templating engines is a huge plus

Basic knowledge of ES6 and React JS is highly regarded

Experience in PHP unit or/and TDD is a huge plus
