JOB DESCRIPTION
The PBU Engineering Program Architect and Consultant will play a pivotal role in driving technical demand for our products within our target markets (e.g. Wireless research, RF and others).
A successful candidate has deep technical expertise and a customer-centric approach. They will leverage their skills to showcase NI capabilities to customers and targets and communicate our unique differentiation within the customer and market context.
A successful candidate is great at listening, learning, and understanding our customers needs. They are also strong team players who mentor others in PBU Engineering and foster strong collaboration and partnership with the team and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Pre-Sales Consultant
- Engage directly with customers during pre-sales and post-sales phases
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Create, customize, and present PoCs to demonstrate our solutions and highlight our value proposition for specific customer scenarios
- Demand Generation
- Leverage technical and industry knowledge to position NIs and PBUs technical capabilities to specific markets prioritized by the business lines through proactive demand generation activities. Strong partnership with AMs, BDMs, and Business Lines
- Deliver actionable demand generation proposals informed by a deep technical understanding of targeted markets and mapping NI and PBU Technical capabilities to market needs.
- Technical content creation
- Creation and demonstration of Proof of Concepts and performance benchmarks in support of large sales opportunities
- Develop compelling technical content (whitepapers, app notes, recordings, etc.)
- Collaborate with Marketing to create impactful collateral (PowerPoints and one-pagers, architecture and workflow diagrams)
- Contribute to webinars, workshops, trainings, and industry events
- Architecture design and content development
- Define and architect market solutions for reference architectures and demos that can be broadly applicable and leveraged for market or customer-specific applications
- Market Insights
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies
- Share insights with the R&D, PBU Engineering, and Product Management teams to shape our roadmaps
Requirements
Minimum
- Engineering degree.
- Excellent proficiency in English.
- Sales experience and/or industry experience in Test & Measurement industry
- Genuine desire to accelerate NIs business growth.
- Proactive, ownership-driven, creative, flexible, strategic thinker, and a hands-on, doer-approach.
- Experience working with RF and Wireless technologies
- Experience in customer-facing roles
