Lead the design, implementation, and management of Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
Oversee the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Windows servers (on-premises and cloud environments).
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and backup strategies are in place and regularly tested.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize the environment for efficiency.
Technical Leadership
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for Wintel technologies, providing guidance and support to junior engineers and other IT teams.
Lead complex troubleshooting efforts for escalated issues, ensuring timely resolution.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new solutions or upgrades to the existing infrastructure.
Project Management
Lead and manage Wintel infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and status reports.
Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
People Management
Manage a team of Wintel engineers, providing mentorship, training, and career development opportunities.
Conduct performance evaluations, set objectives, and provide regular feedback.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
Security And Compliance
Ensure all Windows Server environments comply with organizational security policies and industry regulations.
Implement and maintain security controls, such as patch management, antivirus, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments, addressing vulnerabilities promptly.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements to enhance the efficiency of the Wintel infrastructure.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies, recommending their adoption where beneficial.
Certifications
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
ITIL Foundation or higher
Key Skills
Deep technical knowledge of Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, and related technologies.
Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
