Well Integrity Engineer
Summary of Role:
This position is responsible for managing well integrity as per Clients Well Integrity Management System, adhering to government legislation and working within the agreed budget. Full responsibility for maintaining, monitoring and reporting on all parts of the well operating envelope when in the production life of well phase. This includes conducting well integrity assessments, writing job programmes and work instructions and providing support during maintenance routines and interventions, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Responsibilities / Duties
- Ensure all parts of the well operating envelope are maintained as per the company's Well Integrity Management System, (WIMS).
- Develop, maintain and update of Well Barrier Schematics.
- Understanding of MAASP/MOP.
- Conduct well integrity assessments.
- Provide technical and operational support for specific well integrity issues when required.
- Support development of diagnostics for well integrity issues.
- Support investigations of well integrity anomalies.
- Ensure that exemptions related to well integrity are managed and documented.
- Ensure that all lessons with regards to well integrity are captured, shared and incorporated into manuals and policies.
- Contribute to standardization and continuous improvement.
- Carry out root cause analysis and failure investigation on wellhead and well's equipment whenever required.
- Work with subsurface, drilling, completion, operations, surface site teams and service providers to ensure efficient integrity management when required.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Relevant engineering degree and/or experience.
- 3-4 years of relevant wells or integrity experience (pending engineering level).
- Technical training / competency as per guidelines for discipline and position.
- Well related Risk Assessments.
- Possess a valid IWCF certificate (is a plus).
