Fitter/ wilder
- Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
Lay out, position, align, and fit components together according to blueprints, written, and verbal instructions- Bolt, clamp, and tack-weld parts to secure in position for final welding
Select equipment and plan layout of assembly for welding
- Setup welding machines based on the job at hand
Use a variety of hand and power tools as needed- Inspect items as instructed and provide feedback to management to ensure any quality defects can be avoided in the future
Maintain a clean work area, returning equipment and tools at the end of the day
- Assist other departments and functions as needed
