Alesa AI Internship Program: An Opportunity for Students

Alesa Ai has an immediate need for an intern with Linux and VPS knowledge. We are looking at the internship as a trial period, as we want to add a server admin to our team, this will become a paid position at the end of the internship for the right candidate.

You must be able to commit 20-30 hours per week for 6 months, attend multiple project meetings per week, work well with a team and be able to problem solve. We would prefer a student who is looking to start their career in the AI space so we can work with them on shaping their role in the company.

We are excited to offer placements in the Alesa AI Internship Program, designed for students who have a course requirement to undertake an internship or industry placement (undergraduate and postgraduate), seeking hands-on experience in the fields of:

• App Design and Development
• Apple/Mac App and Webapp Testing and Development
• Digital Platform Development
• Business Development
• Server Administration
• LLMs (Design, Development, and Deployment - Including RAG and Fine-tuned LLM based projects)
• AI Integration and Automation
• API Implementation
• Human-Computer Interaction (HCI)
• VPS Utilisation

Internship Program Overview

Our program offers students the chance to apply their academic knowledge in real-world settings, enhance their skills, and build a strong foundation for their future career through industry experience in an unpaid internship. We require a 20 - 40 hour commitment per week, allowing interns to balance their academic responsibilities with the internship. This is a remote internship role at Alesa AI Ltd, offering a 3 - 6 month placement. Although this is an unpaid position, it provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience while working remotely. The program is open to students, with relevant qualifications and experience, who are looking to complete an internship as part of their degree program (3 6 months). We are now offering this program for those wishing to add experience to their CV through extracurricular credit (3, 6, or 12 months) or as a summer placement (3 months).

Internship Opportunity

We offer a range of internship durations to work with students to create a program and schedule that meets their needs and fulfils their degree requirements. Internship opportunity is in the field of multi-OS app development supporting internal projects with the potential for inclusion in paid projects (payment of a stipend). These include projects across multiple business sectors and will primarily focus on:

• App Design and Development
• AI-powered Web Service Sites
• Digital Platform Development
• AI Integration and Automation

This placement is looking for someone with experience in Linux and VPS who is looking to join a team (staff and interns) working on several internal projects for Alesa Ai. Our objective is to build an internal team of developers (app, webapp, system and design) for ongoing projects. This internship allows us to evaluate how you work, your work ethic and skills, and your ability to work within a team in a commercial environment. Our objective is to offer paid positions (even for those with ongoing studies) for those that are a good fit as we build our team, though this is not a guarantee or offer of future employment.

Applicant Requirements

• Experience with Linux/Ubuntu, essential
• Experience with VPS, essential
• Experience with flutter, optional
• Experience with OSM/OSRM, optional
• English at a conversational level, minimum (professional preferred)
• Able to work without supervision
• Able to work as a team and alone
• Good time management skills
• Ability to attend regular meetings
