Roles and Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) for production activities.
- Set up and load materials onto the machine, ensuring proper alignment and calibration.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to understand specifications and machining requirements.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments on the machine.
- Monitor machine operations, making adjustments as necessary to ensure quality and productivity.
- Perform routine maintenance and preventive repairs on the VMC to avoid breakdowns and optimize performance.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with the VMC, such as tool wear or machine malfunctions.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to improve processes and efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience as a VMC Operator or similar role.
- Proficient in operating and programming Vertical Machining Centers.
- Strong knowledge of cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Attention to detail and quality-oriented mindset.
