Set up and operate Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) to perform precise milling, drilling, and tapping operations.- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine machining operations.
Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments as needed.
- Monitor the machine operation and adjust settings to ensure parts meet quality and production standards.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of the VMC machines to ensure optimal performance.- Conduct regular inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to specifications.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
- Collaborate with team members, supervisors, and engineers to resolve machining issues and improve processes.
Record and report production data, including quantities produced, machine downtime, and any issues encountered.
