Overview
We're seeking a Communication Designer with a strong foundation in retail and brand design. This role requires a creative professional who understands the art and strategy of communicating a brand's essence through the retail experience. The ideal candidate is someone with a hands-on approach to designing for in-store environments, skilled in creating cohesive narratives through structural innovations, and adept at blending visual storytelling with the physical landscape of retail spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Retail Communication & Visual Merchandising:
- Design impactful retail communication strategies that enhance the consumer journey from entry to purchase, creating engaging and immersive in-store experiences.
- Conceptualize and execute visual merchandising themes and layouts, ensuring brand alignment and seasonal adaptability.
- Brand Storytelling in Physical Space:
- Develop cohesive design solutions that capture brand essence, weaving in elements of storytelling through print, display, and spatial design.
- Collaborate with marketing and retail teams to convey brand values and messages effectively within physical spaces.
- Fixture & Structural Innovation (Preferred):
- Work on the design and implementation of retail fixtures and structures, creating innovative display solutions that elevate product presentation and enhance store aesthetics.
- Partner with engineering and fabrication teams to bring designs to life, ensuring functional and aesthetically compelling outcomes.
- Print & Graphic Design:
- Design high-quality print materials, such as in-store posters, banners, signage, and other communication elements that align with brand standards.
- Stay updated on print production techniques, materials, and finishes to deliver high-impact print collateral.
- Collaboration & Project Management:
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and retail operations, to ensure consistent brand messaging across all retail touchpoints.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting timelines and maintaining a high standard of design excellence.
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in communication and brand design, specifically within retail environments.
- Strong understanding of retail fixture design and an innovative approach to in-store structural concepts.
- Expertise in print design and production, with an eye for detail and quality.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite
- A passion for retail design and a keen sense for visual communication that connects with audiences on an experiential level.
