Role description:
This role is part of Arcadis Global Excellence Centre (GEC) and will join our 3,000+ talented individuals working in India, Romania, and Philippines, in partnership with Arcadis offices globally. Our Environmental Planning team is looking for a Visual Communication Support Consultant. Your specialist graphic skills will be instrumental in the creation of visually compelling graphics that elevate the presentation of our materials for a variety of Clients. We are looking for a passionate individual with ability to simplify complex information and present it in a visually compelling and memorable way. Your role will involve close collaboration with various teams to understand core messages and translating them into impactful visual elements. Utilizing your graphic design expertise, you will create high-quality graphics, charts, and diagrams to effectively communicate intricate ideas to diverse audiences through various media including documents, presentations and videos.
As part of our Environmental Planning team, you'll be integral to working on how we can improve quality of life. With your specialism in environmental management, or planning or your technical or sustainability expertise, your work could involve protected species, pollution, surface water and materials management, air quality or noise. You will need to be a team player who loves to collaborate, is able to drive ideas and projects and think outside the box variety and diversity are also integral to this role.

- Graphic Design: Develop visually appealing and professional infographics, charts, and diagrams that not only convey information effectively but also prioritize ease of understanding.
- Brand Consistency & Quality Control: Ensure all graphics align with our brand guidelines and visual identity. Maintain consistency in design elements across different materials.
- Research: Conduct research to gather relevant industry and project-specific visual references to enhance our visual storytelling.
- Deadline Management: Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely completion of all graphic design elements. Collaborate with teams to prioritize and address urgent graphic design needs.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with team members to gather necessary information and provide updates on graphic design tasks. Collaborate with various departments to gather input and feedback, fostering continuous improvement.
- Accessibility: Ability to embed accessibility features in project work and public facing documents to comply with legal requirements
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree/Diploma or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
- Proficient in the knowledge, use and application of a variety of industry graphics related software packages, including Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, In-Design) and other relevant desktop applications (MS Word and PowerPoint),
- Ability to draw / sketch to quickly communicate ideas graphically.
- Effective research, data gathering and analysis skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of embedding accessibility in design.
- Some knowledge of environmental consultancy services and awareness of the typical outputs associated with landscape and urban design and EIA related visualisations and graphics would be beneficial
