We are looking for a motivated and skilled Developer with a focus on developing and managing VMware Automation Orchestrator workflows using Tool Chain and TypeScript. This role is essential in streamlining and enhancing data center infrastructure processes.
Your tasks
- Creating and managing automated workflows for data center infrastructure using VMware Automation Orchestrator
- Developing scripts and functions in TypeScript and JavaScript to enable workflow automation
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand automation requirements and optimize workflow solutions
- Configuring and managing cloud APIs to support integration and automation across virtualized environments
- Utilizing JSON, YAML, and CSS to manage configuration data within automation processes
- Conducting tests and debugging code to ensure workflow reliability and performance
Requirements
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with experience in Python and PowerShell scripting as a plus
- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including computing, hypervisors, storage, Windows, networks, and Linux environments
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and APIs (e.g., AWS, Azure, private clouds) that integrate with VMware solutions
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail, alongside the ability to adapt and stay updated on emerging technologies and regulations - cybersecurity, data privacy, etc.
- Experience with agile practices, tools like JIRA and Confluence, and collaborative skills to work across technical and non-technical teams
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills, with a focus on active listening, negotiation, and supporting team development and performance
