Job Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Video Editor. The role is for six days work over a 9-hour shift, working with top news editors who travel across India, Europe, the US and Asia to report on news, podcasts and interviews The Video Editor will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including video production, video editing, video color grading, motion graphics, and graphics. This is a unique role that encompasses editing original pieces for social media - Youtube, Instagram, Facebook & Twitter. The ideal candidate will have an ear for sound, vision, design aesthetics, after effects, transitions used for social media and great communication skills. The role is located in New Delhi.

Qualifications

Degree course in animation and VFX; visual communication

Diploma in multimedia, animation, video Production and video editing

SKILLSET MUST

High level of expertise in Adobe Premiere Pro; experience in Adobe After Effects and Photoshop;

High level of design aesthetics

. Proven work experience as a video editor

Understanding of the nuances and best practices for various social media platforms

Video Color Grading and Motion Graphics skills

Ability to work under tight deadlines and six-days a week; Ability to handle interviews of renowned personalities, prepare promos and travel if need be across India

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Experience in the journalism or media industry is a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver several social media videos daily with a tight turnaround time

Edit and design compelling short form pieces of content for, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, Snapchat and other social media platforms

Edit and design longform pieces

Communicate edits and designs clearly with producers and editors

Ensure videos are executed to the highest quality

Standards, including copyediting on-screen text
