Job Overview
As a Video Editor, your primary responsibility will be to edit and enhance video content to align with the company's brand and educational objectives. You will use your extensive experience in the Advertising Agency or Marketing Industry to bring out the best in raw footage, create engaging narratives, and ensure high-quality video production.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Edit and refine raw video footage to create compelling and visually appealing videos.
- Cut and arrange footage to ensure logical sequencing and smooth transitions.
- Add graphics, animations, and other visual elements to enhance video content.
- Enhance audio quality and incorporate sound effects and background music as needed.
- Optimize videos for various platforms and devices to maximize reach and engagement.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in video editing to bring fresh ideas to the table.
- Work closely with the content development team to ensure video content complements the overall learning experience.
- Collaborate with other designers, illustrators, and developers to create cohesive multimedia content for different projects.
- Maintain a consistent level of quality and adhere to brand guidelines throughout all video projects.
- Manage and organize video assets and files effectively to streamline the post-production process.
Requirements
- Graduate with proven experience of 1-5 years as a Video Editor, ideally within the Edtech, Advertising Agency or Marketing Industry.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar tools.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of edited video projects.
- Excellent understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual communication techniques in video editing.
- Solid knowledge of video formats, codecs, and compression settings for various delivery platforms.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to bring innovative ideas to life through video editing.
- A passion for education and a commitment to creating impactful learning experiences through multimedia.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and eLearning platforms.
